We got a chance to talk to the one and only Joe McNally, who has shot cover stories for TIME, Newsweek, FORTUNE, Entertainment Weekly, and The New York Times Sunday Magazine. Joe also happens to be the photographer who shot the first all digital coverage in the history of National Geographic Magazine. He was kind enough to share some of the tricks of the trade that he’s learned over the years.
