Aerial Photography Cameras Stepping Up Their Game
With the introduction of drones into the photography world, the average photographer is now able to capture images that were nearly impossible to obtain before. But as we all know, drones cannot carry too much weight and fitting a high quality camera into a light body is no easy task.
That’s where Danish camera maker Phase One Industrial comes in. They have just revealed the world’s smallest 80-megapixel aerial camera; the Phase One iXU 180. The camera will feature an 80MP CCD sensor for 10,328 pixels cross-track coverage, according to their press release. Yet, the camera will weight less than 950 grams and have interchangeable lenses.
The camera will start shipping mid-April of this year and start at $60,000.
