HunterFreemanScreenShotresizeHunter Freeman found his passion for photography at a very young age. As a child, he worked as an assistant in his father’s darkroom doing all manner of photography related tasks, such as developing, printing, designing, etc…. Having grown up in New York, Freeman was never short of subjects or inspiration and spent his youth shooting in the big apple. After college, he moved to the West Coast and now resides in the San Francisco are. He has received numerous honors and awards for his photography and has worked with large clients such as Toyota and Yahoo!.

In this week’s interview with Hunter Freeman, he discusses some of his collections and his process for simplifying photo compositions:

Approaching photography:

  • Create memorable images that have compelling qualities
  • Keep your eyes open

Composition:

  • KISS: Keep It Simple Stupid
    • Ask yourself:  “Are these things needed?”
