We recently met back up with Bob Holmes and asked him to show us what’s in his bag. He gave us a look inside with some good tips along the way for cleaning dust from your camera’s card slots, packing spare equipment and packing a separate bag for use in the field and more–and catch the outtake at the end!. Thanks to Bob holmes for sharing. Be sure to catch his other videos
And thanks to our friends at ThinkTank

Vin LaX . Bob is one of the top pros in the world , National geographic, 37 books , Dozens of front magazine covers.etc etc
Do you have a backup laptop? Why not? How about a backup pocket rocket? You never know when your pocket rocket will fail and prevent you from getting the dust out of the card slots that may contaminate…what?. Another anal retired guy with a camera. Pro? Not likley.
Always good to see what’s in a photographer’s bag 🙂
Great video! It’s always interesting to hear what other photographers carry with them, Thanks for sharing
if i was a thief…………….
Awesome video! I always carry a backup camera with me and backup everything else too, Thanks for sharing Bob!
For pros like Bob who believe in backups (card readers, cables, batteries…), they would never think of traveling without a backup camera or two, or three, or…The lens on the two active cameras would depend on the shot requirements
What sort of tripod did he say he “always carrie with him?” THX!
Love the 24-70mm 2.8. It’s a workhorse lense.
me too!
thank you Bob!
No sir. Thank you !
i know it may sound lam but, i use the same flashlight when i do low light macro photos.
I use two cameras in case one goes out which happened to me last year in the Middle East but more importantly so that I don’t have to swap lenses. I am paranoid about getting dust on the sensor and the more you change lenses the greater the chance of that. The two lenses I keep on the cameras most of the time are a 24-70 2.8 and an 80-200 2.8 These cover 90% of the situations I want to shoot. Thanks for your interest.
Why two DSLRs ? Is it in case something happens and he doesn’t have the time to swap lenses ?Also, what two lenses are on the DSLRs ?
Nice to know he is a Nikon man.
“gaffer tape” has many uses, like duct tape for photographers and filmmakers, get some and you’ll see!
What does he use the roll of tape for that he said he always carries with him for??
nice!
Thanks!
we’ve got a big one being edited right now, stay tuned!
Great! More of Bob Please!!!
